Course Description

The Business Analyst role has evolved from that of a Business Procedures Analyst to that of a liaison between nontechnical user communities and technical solution providers. This course provides proactive, introductory coverage of the knowledge and skills essential to Business analysts responsible for capturing, documenting, and validating customer requirements.

Course Prerequisites

Some business analysis experience is recommended​.

Fundamentals of Project Management
• Describe two major Project Management Methodologies as they relate to software development, their characteristics and weaknesses, and their impact on the Business Analyst
• Describe the role of the Project Manager, and the importance of this delegation to project success

Gather and Document User Requirements
• Identify and describe key project documents of importance to gathering and documenting business requirements
